About These Sacred Mantras
Every mantra in this collection is drawn from the living Hindu tradition and carries centuries of devotional practice. Om Namah Shivaya, the five-syllable prayer to Lord Shiva, is one of the most widely chanted mantras on Earth — a surrender to the auspicious consciousness within. The Gayatri Mantra, from the Rig Veda, is a prayer for divine illumination of the intellect. Hare Krishna, the Mahamantra of the Bhakti tradition, is a call to the sweetness of the divine name.
Om Gam Ganapataye Namah invokes Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, and is traditionally chanted before any new beginning. Mahamrityunjaya, the great death-conquering mantra of Shiva, is a prayer for healing and release from fear. Om Namo Narayanaya is a surrender to Vishnu, the sustainer of all beings.
Choose the mantra that resonates with your intention. There is no wrong choice — each path leads inward.
